DL30 battery life sucking?

After a couple days of running super clean 1.0 has been great. Battery life is just fine now that I moved go that rom.

Boot into recovery, then go to advanced option in the menu. Next set of options should include wipe battery stats.

Just a heads up. I tried clearing battery stats on the original CWM Red for DL09 and it didn't work. I checked the XDA thread again and noticed this:

The ROM Manager version of CWM does NOT wipe battery stats properly, as with many other things. What you need is jt1134's version of CWM that is all happy and works and stuff.

Just a heads up for anyone who wiped battery and still having issues.

I did the battery clear from XDA and I am back to a regular day with my battery life. So it is working as before the DL30. I have low signal at work and home, a lot of wifi and corporate email push for work.

I guess this is the part I don't know how to do. When I boot into recovery I get the blue recovery screen??? and no option for advanced settings or battery stats. Perhaps some one can dumb it down for me

In the blue screen you need to apply update.zip to get the red screen. Then you can wipe... The dl30 thread has all the files you need.

try turning off the gps after the battery stats wipe see if it will help. i tried to monitor my phone since i upgrade to dl30 and it looks like its the gps thats draining the battery even when idle

I tried resetting the battery stats, wiping and re installing superclean 1.0, everything I could find. Battery life was still horrible. Flashed back to DJ05, battery life was back to normal. So, I am going to try starting over. I started with a fresh Odin of DJ05, then installed Blackhole 4.01 on a charged battery. I'll see how it does.
I hope the official release has better battery life.

something that some of us have noticed, is that you cant leave your gps on. the gps should be able to be left on all the time, as long as its not being used by something, with very little effect on your battery. however i and a few others have noticed significantly lower battery life with gps on.

I've been unplugged just under 10 hours and my battery is @ 61% with moderate use. Seems pretty good to me.

ive been running sc 1.0 for a couple days so far. I had that battery problem, but after charging it to full, then wiping the battery stats, then discharging fully then recharging fully, i was able to get very good battery life. been on for 8 1/2 hours and at 68% battery life with texting, a little web browsing and gaming. Thank you to the developer!

I was going to make a post about DL30 completely sucking the life out of my battery, but I wanted to narrow it down to the new cwm or the themes I was flashing too, since that's when problems started for me. but I'm on EB01 now and battery life is definitely much better over the last couple of days.

Mine unfortunately still sucks on EB01. If battery use in pre-DL30 wasn't that big of an issue, something is wrong with DL30 and EB01

My battery life actually seems slightly better on DL30 than it was on D09 stock. I was thinking the lack of bloatware might be helping.

After seeing these posts, I decided to leave my fully charged phone off the charger all day, with GPS and Bluetooth on. (I have about 4 bars here.)

After 16 hours with no use, other than occasionally checking the level, I'm at 73%.

Charging and battery life

I've noticed a bit more of a drain during daily use on EB01, but I could just be playing with the phone more. I still do the "bump-charge" techniques I learned when I had the HTC Incredible. Seems that phones 100% charge was really only in the low 90s or upper 80s from the start (at 100% off charger). we had to had the phone turned off, charge overnight then, in the morning, keep unplugging and re-plugging in the charging cable until the "100%" notice took a shorter amount of time to reappear after plugging back in. It gave that phone, and the Fascinate, longer battery life during normal use.
