DL30 battery life sucking?

The one thing gnawing at my mind, from the procedure over at XDA, is it's instructions to completely discharge the battery to 5% or less two times. This is really hard on a Lithium ion battery. I'm wondering why we couldn't just power it down, at anytime, let it charge up to 100% (it's not writing to that file CWM clears right?) and once it's at 100%, boot into CWM and do the clear battery stats.

Just another experience report, for what it's worth. I was getting poor battery life after flashing DL30 -- yesterday I made it only about five hours with light usage.

So last night I tried the XDA fix: charged to 100%, powered off, charged some more; wiped battery stats; and ever since then I've been running on battery without charging. I'm currently at 21% after about 15 hours (some of which was overnight idle time).

Still not quite as good as I was getting with DL09, but definitely an improvement, and probably good enough. Still, I'm hoping that the official update, whenever it comes, will be better.
