I guess there was really no need for a new thread, so delete it if you wish. I report that dlna on this thing works flawlessly. Quality is pretty good too!

Well for the ps3, make sure it and your epic. 4g are on the same wireless network. Enable the allsahre app on the phone. Then go to videos section on the dashboard of the ps3 and select search for media server. One found, select your phone in video list on the dashboard of the ps3, and then select the video you wanna watch.

Plays movies I have stored on the card just fine; however videos I shoot with the phone the PS3 refuses to play...

I have a avatar and toy story in 720p and the playback is choppy. I thought connecting to wireless N might work but my epic will not pick up the signal.

Holy crap.
This works REALLY well with reasonably sized films (HD is bit choppy).
It's just funny that my Epic supports more file types than my PS3. Epic has NO problem playing 720p MKV files that my PS3 just doesn't wanna mess with...

What you can do to avoid the choppyness is copy the file to the hard drive of the ps3 first, then play it. Works better for HD files. Hit triangle and copy.

I've used my PS3 as a NMP / Media Server for years now. I've noticed that the chopyness is mostly due to the encoding of the viedo rather than connection.

I also use the Java app PS3 Media Server whcih works well and allows the streaming of MKV files. Same holds true. I've acquired different rips of the same movie and played them. One would stream flawlessly while the other may result in choppyness.

I am currently using a wireless a/b/g router and plan to upgrade to a N soon upon completion of my media server build.
