New problem with connecting to any Marriott property wifi. Hilton and everywhere else work fine. Use a Pixel 2. Tablet connects just fine. DNS failure is the code I get. Reset the DNS manually, got a DNS changer, reset the phone, and emptied the chache on chrome. I also use Tunnel Bear VPN (tried with and without) WHAT am I missing?!

Welcome to Android Central! Does this also happen if you try to force the login portal to appear in the browser itself (and not the popup captive portal login screen)? Just type cnn.com or a similar URL and see if it forces the portal to appear.

DNS failure. tried everything

Marriott wifi keeps giving me a dns fail page when I try to sign in. Wifi works everywhere else and can sign in on my tablet. Manually input DNS, tried a DNS changer, reset my phone (Pixel 2), cleared chrome cache and tried connecting on airplane mode. I even have a VPN (tunnnel bear) What Ami missing?!

In my experience, using any DNS other than the one provided by Marriott will cause it to fail. On my MacBook, the WiFi login page won't even come up unless you use their DNS and on my KEY2, it never connected when using 1.1.1.1 or Google DNS.

Someone with a P2 is going to have to go to a Marriott and try to log in, to see what's happening. Answering a question like that without being there is like answering "What icon is this?" with no picture.

Thank you! The portal appeared when I reset to Marriotts configuration, turned off my VPN, typed the URL and it sent me to the Marriott page. Thanks again!
