Do camera voice commands "smile/cheese" not work on facebook messenger?

Good evening everyone!!

I was chatting with someone in Facebook messenger. I was trying to send them a selfie,,but the voice commands weren't working. I have them activated in the camera settings,,and ,,when just using the camera, on its own without an app,,voice commands work fine..but in Facebook Messenger,,not so.

Does everyone experience this? or know a way to get around this??

Nope, they only work on the stock Camera app, and Facebook's apps use a camera app of their own (with wonky autofocus, if you ask me).

Only way around it is to fire up the camera, take the picture, and then share to Messanger after taking it. Also remember that pictures taken in Messenger aren't saved to your Camera folder.
