Do I need a SIM Card for my Galaxy S6?

SIM Card for Galaxy S6

I am confused about needing a SIM card. Currently have a Droid X and am trying not to give up unlimited data. If I buy a phone listed as Verizon factory unlocked on ebay, will I still need a SIM card?

Hi and welcome to Android Central.

I am pretty sure the droid X has a mini-sim and the S6 has a nano sim. so yes you will need a new sim from your current provider to fit. These are cheap if not free anyhow.

To address the question as to why you need a sim card for Verizon, it is this.
Verizons voice services still operate on CDMA technology, which uses the devices ESN / IMEI but to use the LTE data services that is where the SIM card comes in.
