Do i need any of these updates from Samsung?

wont verizon not replace a phone thats been altered with different software? :o

From what i hear it hasnt stopped anyone, and thats what im saying, if it is in a position that we cant change the software back to stock then chances are the phone is completely dead and wont turn on. I bricked my phone and it wont turn on , if i had a contract with verizon i could walk in today and they would not have choice but replace it. And they wont sit there and try to investigate what happened, that would cost more money for them than just replacing the phone.
If they get a bricked phone, they flash new software test it and ship it out as a refurb.

A. Verizon doesn't usually check, if there's an issue they usually just wipe it without bothering to do anything

B. Download the stock DI01 image from the forums, flash back to stock, download the EA28 update over the air and you're back to out of the box status, they'd never know

What he ^ said, up there =)

BTW how DID u hard brick your phone?

i left the phone on my desk during a flash, while it was flashing the boot.bin i turned my chair it caught the cable dropped to the floor and killed the connection. No bootloader = No boot

This is one of the reasons I specifically bought my phone from Best Buy, I love their $10 replacement deal. I bring them my phone in whatever condition, they open a new box hand me a new phone no questions asked

I had a problem with my SD card randomly unmounting itself, I brought it in they gave me a brand new phone, didn't cost me a penny other than the $10 a month I pay for the service

Sounds like i know where im getting my Droid Charge lol

I brought the ad into BB from Walmart showing the fascinate for $48.88 they matched the price too. At the time they were selling it for $149 or something ridiculous.

The only thing their replacement policy doesn't cover is lost/stolen. You have to actually have the phone, working or not. Verizon charges you what, $250 for a replacement? And it might be a refurb anyways
