Do I need smart switch app on my phone to use smart switch to back up to my PC?

Just curious if I need to have the smart switch app on my phone (as well as on my PC) to be able to use it to backup and restore the contents of my phone?

I guess I could uninstall it until I need it (for backup or restore)...I do like to keep the minimal amount of apps on my phone, but not less than that *smile*.

Nope. Smart Switch for PC alone is enough for backup and restore. Smart Switch app is for transfer.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the case *smile*. I've already deleted the app, I figure smart switch on my PC can put it back next time if I need it.
