Do I need to buy the phone directly from Oneplus for Verizon?

So certain sites say you need to buy the phone directly from Oneplus to use on Verizon. However, on the Oneplus site, there is no difference on which phone you select, you do not choose carrier, so everybody is getting the same phone regardless.

The only reason I ask is because there are some cheaper ones on certain sites, or even Ebay. So if the same phone is being sent out regardless to U.S. sites and consumers, wouldn't they all be the same and work on Verizon? (I know, LTE only, no cdma)

I suppose if you get the global version, which I presume would be the same as what oneplus carries then you are good.

I did buy direct from oneplus and currently on both Verizon and Tmo.

I believe if you buy the 6T from T-Mobile you have to wait 40 days to get them to unlock the phone. Looks like people have gotten them to unlock the phone earlier though. So yes it'll work but only after you unlock it.

As stated the t-mobile one is locked, while the oneplus one is unlocked right out of the box.
