Do I really want this phone?

I'm still complaining about the reception I get indoors. Sucks when you have a nice phone but can't use it in some places where everyone else gets reception.

Other than that, its good. Wish there were features that came with the phone instead of getting apps for them (change the notification light configuration, remove load up sound, etc.)

My SGS3 gets far better reception indoors than my GS1/Captivate. Even in my office, which is on the inside of a 10-story building...not even near a window.

The S3 is eons ahead of the Droid X in every conceivable way. I preordered the S3 and received it back in July, it is a stock VZW phone. It has been flawless for me, with zero problems with the glass or "no SIM". I have never had a force close. I can not tell any difference in reception from my Driod X. The Droid X was a Beta phone compared to the S3.

Every new phone will have "a lot of problems" that pop up on the forums, iDevices included. Usually they are a tiny portion of a percent, of actual users, because average users don't frequent these forums, and don't seek out a way to let everyone know their phone is working as expected. On the other hand, people that are having a problem, seek out these types of forums to vent their frustrations and look for solutions.

Exactly! These phones are great, well beyond "smart" and make my old BB Bold and World phones look like the village idiots!

And with Apple's new civil action against Sammy with regards to the S3 ( The case is U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, Apple Inc v. Samsung Electronics Ltd, et al 12-00630), you may want to move sooner rather than later mate. Just saw this in another forum on AC.

Here you are some videos that can clarify your mind..
Part 1:?Android Vs iOS The Truth about Apple and Google's OS Part 1 of 5 - YouTube
Part 2:?Android Vs iOS The Truth about Apple and Google's OS Part 2 of 5 - YouTube
Part 3:?Android Vs iOS The Truth about Apple and Google's OS Part 3 of 5 - YouTube
Part 4:?Android Vs iOS The Truth about Apple and Google's OS Part 4 of 5 - YouTube
Part 5:?Android Vs iOS The Truth about Apple and Google's OS Part 5 of 5 - YouTube

Good luck.

It was these videos that planted the seed of doubt of iOS in my mind.... I now own a S3. Am really enjoying it.
