Do not disturb broken?

Just upgraded to Android 11 last Friday, Note 20 Ultra on AT$T. The install went smooth and all seemed like it should until this morning. While I have my Do not disturb (DND) scheduled with exceptions - favorites and alarms. I already know there was an issue and work around for the favorites during DND however, my alarms will not make any sounds while DND is enabled. I have created new routines, new alarms, and even allowed Bixby to automate it. Changing ringer to a song from my library does nothing. My only solution right now is have DND turn off the same time my alarm goes off which defeats the purpose of exceptions in the first place. Anyone else having a similar issue?

Hi, long press the alarm app then tap info , go to notification and tap each category will take you to a sub menu page and at the bottom of each toggle ignore DNDScreenshot_20201221-104608_Settings.jpeg

Can try safe mode see if still issue , otherwise I'm thinking factory reset , as that needed sometimes with major Android update

Factory reset shouldn't even be an option. This isn't a beta build. This is prime time and I have never had to factory reset even with my older phones upgrading OS's. Saying that reminds me me of when I used to root......

I will try safe mode when I get home though.

It shouldn't but it's a possibility , I've seen it here in the forums. Try safe mode though see what happens , you don't use bixby routines ?

Ever since Bixby became stable. I tried that this morning even using Bixby to set up DND it wouldn't work.

Another thing to try is , clear app preferences to do this go to settings >apps>3 dots upper right corner and tap reset app preferences

Tried that and safe mode. Nothing worked. I downloaded the Clock app by Google just to test it and it works fine so I believe the issue isn't with DND, it's the native clock app on the device. It can't be disabled or removed to my knowledge so I just deleted all the alarms I had and will be using another alarm app. I appreciate the help.

Try resetting the stock alarm app by long pressing tap info then storage and clear its data then force stop it.

Good that 3rd party alarm works but see if you can get the stock also.. Your Welcome !

Hahaha, that worked. How frustrating these things can be. Thanks again for your help!

mine isn't working but not the alarm. Haptic feedback is still on which drives me crazy. I have to turn vibration off in keyboard settings with DND on. Also feedback on One Handed Operation too.

Am I missing something or is it happening for everyone?

Have you checked here for DND , touch sounds?
Or go into settings >sounds turn vibration sliders down

Do you mean that if you have DND enabled and typed a message to someone the keyboard still has haptic feedback? Mine does that.

Yes. I still get vibration feedback with touch sounds off and DND on. On 10 is used to turn off all vibration, but now it doesn't.
