do not disturb contact only but still receiving spam calls

[Android Central Question]

hi, I have do not disturb on: allowing contacts only and not allowing repeat calls.
This is always on.
it worked fine for a few weeks but now I am receiving calls from external numbers (spam)?how is this possible?
I have now changed to preferred contact only, I hope it works?

It sounds like you have it on all the time, you say that actually, you may find that you need to restart it once in a while just like the device needs restarted every so often. I don't know if DND status active after a restart but I would restart the device, then if DND is still active turn it off and back on.

I have restarted it and turn DND off and back on again but I am still getting calls. I have selected "calls from favorites only" but I am still getting calls from unregistered numbers! what do I have to do to block those calls?
