Do you ever think about switching to iPhone?

Mmm I definitely agree to disagree on that one.
I could go out and buy any of these $1000+ flagships out there, but I don't, and wouldn't use one as a primary device even if it was given to me for free. I just don't find them exciting.
If I feel like dual carrying, I'd bring a slab along mostly for camera or Netflix or something that a slab is better suited for.

OK I think I've derailed this thread enough lol

Idk what that has to do with blackberry being ew dead and but k .

Are you actually serious?

If yes, I didn't know iSheep levels could be this high.

By her logic, if you told her you were using a Blackberry, would she have thrown her glass of wine at you?
Totally Serious!

And you are probably right about the Blackberry thing

Unless you try it, knocking it seems a bit hallow.
If this was aimed at me, my husband has one, so does sister and 2 of her 3 kids. (3rd one only uses Android and is off to RPI for computer engineering, so I consider him the "smart one"!) I have tried it. Still a hard "No" from me!

Just listened to the podcast. Yet another reason to stick with Android! I prefer pink and purple "Bubbles" on my chats. Guess what? I can change it to whatever color I want! Sorry, iCan't users!

Yup, customization will always win me over too!

I use both (switching between the 2) I overall prefer android but I still think that apps on iOS are just that little bit slicker across the board.

The truth is that if apple changed just a few things (ability to customise home screen a little, always on display etc) I would probably prefer iOS but they never will so overall I still prefer android.

It's true about iOS - sometimes, things just run better. It is a smoother performance.

Even when I used Android as the daily driver, customization fell of favor with me. The data is what matters. Stock as the OEM intended was usually good enough for me.

I didn't quite you directly so

But also it doesn't matter since you don't use one...

For sure! I've had my Pixel for over 16 months and I've had it with the Pixel Launcher and have been using stock messaging for almost the entire time. I definitely get what you're saying. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Can you modify the way the notification icon badges look in Pixel launcher? I don't like the stock tiny dot thing, I prefer number count like on Nova or blackberry spark on BB launcher

No you would need a launcher to change that

NO, I have been forced to use them at work and they're infuriating devices, and the genius bar doesn't have geniuses.

Are you talking about iOS or Android?

Compared to Android iOS is slightly easier to use. However it doesn’t have half the customisation or useful extra software features that Android has (e.g search bar, shortcut and notification panel is also much better on Android).

I’d rather spend an extra few of minutes setting up all these options on an Android device compared to iOS because I know that when it comes to real-life usage they’ll be really useful and save me time. An example is turning on power-saving mode. On Android I can just swipe down and tap the icon but on iOS you have to go to Settings, scroll down and find it, then toggle the switch. The app drawer is also great (you can search for apps).

I don't think you can change the icon badge - I think you can only turn the dots on or off. I miss the BlackBerry spark, too!

Sorry. I disdain iPhones and that ipad OS

I saw a thread similar to this over at iMore, except in reverse! So what about us? Do any of us think about making the switch? OR why won't we, what compelling feature, etc keeps us coming back to Android? :)

I did consider trying an iPhone out at one time, but just before I was going to buy one the whole throttlegate issue came up, and I started realizing how shady Apple really is. Suffice to say, they've continued to prove that point, and I, in good conscience, will never be able to own an Apple product.

Besides they're extremely overpriced lol.
