Do you guys keep ambient display on or off??

Off. Tried it for a few days & didn't see a benefit.

Off. And since last update, I'm usually turning off the Tilt to Wake feature too. I figure the less unintentional powering on of the display, the better. Not a big deal to me to tap the screen or the button to wake the display.

Ambient off, tilt on.

Like dungoyle said, it's useless, regardless of battery consumption.

On. I like being able to see the time without having to light up the entire display. It's also not as intrusive as the tilt feature which comes on much more than I would like.

And with my weather watch face, when in ambient mode, the radar is shown when precipitation is around. All in all, ambient works better for me than tilt, and neither is not an option because I still need it to be a 'watch'.

What weather watch face shows precipitation on radar when in Amboent Mode please? Link? Is it on Facerepo.com or in Play Store?

Off. I find it useful since tilt never works for me so I always end up having to touch the device to see the time. Kills the battery life though so I barely make it through a day.

Off. Don't see a need for it either. I use tilt so every time I look at my watch to check the time it just works.

Ambient still turns on the display when you use the tilt motion, plus many other motions, so I don't see how it's less intrusive.

And it's an LCD display, so the entire display lights up no matter what is displayed on the watch face anyway.

I tried ambient for 1 day. Difference in battery use was dramatic!

I keep it on. Slightly easier to use cuz I don't have to TURN my wrist with such force that it looks a little awkward.

Also, I still get through a full day of use with 20%+ usually by the end of the day anyways.

On. I charge every night and the battery use isn't all that different for me.

I find the tilt to wake isn't as reliable as I'd like it to be so using the ambient display allows me to peek at the watch and know the screen will be on.

Granted, I'm a long-time watch user so I like knowing the watch face is there.

So do you turn off tilt to wake and then turn on ambient? When I have ambient on my screen still went off too often for my liking.

Is it normal for the ambient display to be off? I have shut off tilt to wake and notice the display for ambient goes off if i dont move, as soon as it senses motion the ambient display goes on. is this normal?

Really depends on the settings you've chosen in android wear. If both are unchecked you'll have a dark watch most the time.

I tried ambient but ended up shutting it off. I didn't like the attention it drew to my watch. Lol. Plus it killed my battery. I get a lot of email so ambient plus 100 emails in 4 hours was just too much.
