Do You Hear Anything When You Press The Google Microphone?

Several have said they hear it and have had to change no settings. I just get a vibration. I'm wondering if most of you hear an audible ding when you tap the mic button or if you just get a little haptic vibration.

If you've found any setting that enables the ding I'd appreciate it if you could share what you've done.
