Do you still use a tablet?

I have a Galaxy S 10.5 and use it quite a lot. It's more comfortable to use it to read the newspapers when print copies haven't dropped yet. Also like it for long periods of Kindle reading. It lives in my kitchen unless Kindling. Also have two other true Kindles which I don't use. :(

I do not use a tablet.
My note5 is far more convinient and better handling.

Got rid of all my tablets when I first got the note 3, never used one again.

I have a Tab s2 9.7 I use it on my desk to watch TV or movies while I work as well as reading news and magazines.

My note 5 is great but these old eyes need something a bit bigger at times!

Kindle Fire HD, along with my Note 5. I use Amazon Prime a lot, so a Kindle is a must .

Tab 4 10.1. Used mostly to play games and a reader app for my books. I got the same app and books on my Note 5 but on the phone turning the pages on the 5 is like flipflipflipflipflipflipflip....

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying the tablet. Which one is the best? :)

I guess it depends on your specific needs. But if you want a reasonably priced tablet and you use Amazon I recommend a Fire HD 8. They even let you pay $30 a month for it.

I have both an iPad Air and a Samsung 9.7" Tab S2. I probably use the Air more though the Tab S2 has a much better screen....probably because it's instant on. Yeah, I can't get on without a tablet for research and reading local newspapers online.....the phablet is still too small for comfortable reading (though the Kindle app works great).

Yes! I've had a surface pro 3 but just sold it and upgraded to a ipad Pro. I do lots of pri productivity stuff (writing, research, etc) and need 2 device but not 3. I haven't owned a PC/Mac in years and dint plan on going back.

If you need something light for reading a just bought an older kindle (a kindle keyboard). Got it for $35. Perfect for reading. Never should have sold it years ago.

I have a tablet I use at work solely for teleprompting. We also have a tablet at home that my wife uses. I've always held the opinion (though not strongly) that tablets are not an ideal size. They're too big to carry with you all the time so you inevitably set it down. I'm never in a situation where I slap my forehead and say, "I should have brought my phone!" but I'm sure it would happen with the tablet.
Likewise, when I want to do heavier work, it almost always needs applications that just aren't there (or not all there) for the tablet. I go to my desktop (or laptop when traveling).
So, for me, the tablet isn't all that useful and I consequently hardly use it.

Have 2 Kindles, iPad, and Note 10.1 Pro. Gave up using them all. Best reading devices are my Note 4 and 5.

No longer turn my Notes in when I upgrade. Use the Note 4 to play media on my TV and as a remote. Or to read while I'm charging my 5.

Will be sorely disappointed if the Note 6 doesn't come with IR blaster, larger battery and easy way to cast to my TV.

Yep, but to be fair...it's a work thing. I'm a game development consultant and my life consists of sitting in meetings and taking notes about 70% of my time, to that end...I have a Galaxy Note 5 and a Galaxy Note 2014 edition 10.1 inch tablet....works great for keeping and easily being able to preference my notes.
