For such a heavy phone battery doesn't seem to be good enough for me.. I also added the note 4 in the mix it was almost as good re battery life...

Battery life should be similar to S7 Edge, if not slightly better.

I'm not too worried

The 6GB RAM, SPen and Dual OIS makes it worth skipping the S8+, for me.

Not typically, but those stats come from Samsung and usually overestimate what you would get from actual usage. Whatever the actual number is for both, getting two extra hours from the S8+, while saving a few hundred dollars at the same time, is starting to sound appealing. I would definitely appreciate those two extra hours on days I travel for work and it is not easy to charge during the day.

So frustrating they went with such a small battery since the N8 is definitely better in every other way.

There's plenty of small, high capacity external battery chargers that support fast charging available for cheap money... very convenient to use while traveling.

this is the first Note I'm not getting on board early with. while I miss the s-pen, I've gotten used to the S8+ and great battery life I'm getting. I have a feeling the N8's battery life won't be as good, but will wait to see what everyone stars reporting once out. though, i'll wait til at least the first update rolls out....and watch the complaints/praise. good luck to all the new Note8 owners

According to the Samsung site, it's referred to as the "all day battery".

Then they have the usual disclaimer at the bottom. Lol

Note 8 has better battery life than the S8+. No need to worry.

Also keep in mind the test done on the above video is on a new Note 8 with new unconditioned battery.

I totally agree with you. I have the S7 edge as well. Can't see how the Note8 will be any better. In fact, the battery may be the reason I don't get this phone. Will wait for the real world reviews in Sept to make a final decision.

The battery charges super fast like the S8 does plus its not that much smaller.

Anyone else concerned.. I'm coming from the s7edge I hope it's better .
To be totally honest no plans on using the pc docking or Bixby.. But I do miss the pen.
Real shame there's no real competor with a pen

Have you ever used a Snapdragon 835 before? Extremely efficient. Battery will not be an issue. Maybe after several years, but until then, there should be no issues.

I'm expecting to have to recharge mid day just like I normally do on my S8+. I'm surrounded by chargers so it's not a big deal anymore.

Battery life hasn't been an issue for me in years especially now that most have Fast Charge, though I wished they copied OnePlus' Dash Charging.
