Do you think the epic 4g will have same issues the captivate does.

I have friend who has a lot of issues with his captivate (has actually returned it 2 times) involving atk and wifi....

Does anyone know if the wifi / GPS issues are going to be similar on this phone?

I thought the galaxy only had gps issues?

My Captivate doesn't have any wifi issues. The gps is the only concern I have.

from all the stuff I have read Samsung has resolved those issues prior to releasing the Epic!

Captivate Wifi is great - I leave it on, and the phone manages connection switching well enough that I still save battery over not having wifi on.

Captivate GPS is not so great - the best way to you use it is to approach someone with your phone out; when they say "Wow, is that an Android phone?" you reply "yes... do you know how I might get to the nearest (insert destination here)"
