Do YOUR Google Assistant results stay in your recent apps?

Mine sure don't....

I'm always using my voice to search for stuff, or typing in the home screen assistant bar. 80% of the time, those results disappear from the recent history. It's extremely annoying as I am always trying to refer to something I just looked up....

I just checked my queries feed in Assistant and they went back to Sunday. Are you looking for something further back then a couple of days?

I mean.... When I use use the Google search bar on the hike page, my results show up and any links I click on will open in chrome... An hour later, for example, that screen is gone. Clicking on chrome doesn't bring it up, clicking on the assistant bar doesn't bring it up, and going through my recent apps doesn't have it showing there anymore.

Well I don't know about the Recent apps or Chrome parts of what you listed but when I click in the Assistant it shows the last few searches that I've done over the past few days. It doesn't show WHEN I searched for them so I don't know how long they last.

So,

Let's say that I use my voice so say "show me web pages about cats." assistant will bring up suggestions, and I'll click on one of the links and view the website. I'll go on to other apps and do other stuff, etc....

20 minutes later, I'll want to go back to that cat page I was looking for. It won't be in my recent apps (apps before and after it are there, ironically), it won't be a tab in Chrome, and it won't show up when I click on assistant again.... It's not there anywhere, and I have to search all over again.

I gotcha. You're in the search function using the mic. I think you're right on that note and the only place I can find a history for that type of search seems to be "My Activity" in my account. I could be missing something, but that's the only place I see anything like what you're referencing.

It's just annoying, because I was browsing a page.... Why can't it just stay there! Haha

Okay I tried it for the Oscar winners and clicked a web page page. Then I can find the web page in chrome, recent tabs or history. But the web page itself doesn't show up in recent searches only the query.

You have to open Google Assistant, go to settings then my activity. Everything you do with the assistant is stored there, it's just a little bit of a process to get to it

I just want the LAST thing I was looking at to stay resident in the recent apps, just like any other app would

If you figure it out, I'd like to know so I can do the opposite. Any time I voice dial, it uses Assistant, which then stays in the recent tabs. I never use Assistant for anything else and never set it up, so I'd be happy for it to not stay in recent apps.
