Do yourself a favor....get a case with a kickstand

I really like the stock Verizon case with the kickstand and integrated holster. IMHO the other options I have seen are too bulky and don't look nearly as nice as the Verizon version. This is the best case I have owned. Now if I needed something on a construction job, there would be better options.

I haven't yet bought the car dock....so my biggest concern, does this case work with the Verizon car dock?

No way in the world any case fits with the car dock. I own the car dock and it's fits the phone naked skin tight. Absolutely perfect, phone doesn't even jiggle a bit while inside.

So Verizon wants me to remove it from my case every time I get in and out of the car? Doesn't make any sense to me. That's exactly when it will fall in a parking lot or something....

On my Droid X I used a case with a generic upright car dock. Since the Nexus has the power cable on the bottom, I am worried about the connections getting damaged on the dash.

To make matters worse, I traded in my Droid at Verizon and will get a $46 credit. Does Verizon have a good generic car dock that holds the phone horizontally? If not, recommendations?

To be honest, I really dont think the Charging System & Dock solution was well thought out by the engineers at all... This includes the location of the USB & Headphone port on the phone.

Additionally, would it really be that hard to have a "secondary" USB & Headphone port at each end of the phone to give the end users an option...?
