Where are these stored? Such random pictures.

Anyway you can have your own pictures in the backgrond?

You can press settings and decide what folder to use...of you have all pictures selected you could get icons or other graphics I suppose...

Regardless of where they are stored, you should be able to see them in the Gallery app. If you use the Gallery app to view them, you can do a long-press on the picture and select to save as your background.

They arent in my gallery that's why I was confused on where they came from.

Just curious.
Since the only way you would know they are there is because you are seeing them, what app are you using to see them? That app should provide info on where on the SD Card they are located.

Also, the SD Card re-scans each time the phone is rebooted. You might want to reboot the phone.

I don't think that they are located on the sd card. Some of the pics are used to demo the htc widgets (like the one with the girl in the sunglasses for the photo frame widget. I believe they are somewhere in the phone memory that the os uses. If so, that's why we can't see them.

An easy way to check this is to remove the sd card and go into dock mode without it.

No one really answered this I think. In dock mode, the "Photo frame" function displays images from all the image galleries that the Gallery app sees. I'm wonder if you can limit which folders are used for the moving slideshow ... say only 100MEDIA?

Oh, I found the answer elsewhere. Tap once on the screen while the Photoframe mode is in progress, and you get settings. You can limit the photo folder "All photos," or "Camera shots"), and hiding some folders in Gallery app seemed to limit these choices. With the gimmicky Perfect Pics enabled, one of the choices becomes Perfect Pics.
