Does a Samsung s8 plus from UAE really have a different screen?

I bought a Samsung s8 plus online for a whole lot less than the UK price, dropped it and cracked the screen. Samsung won't repair it and tell me that the screen is different. The phone model is SM-G955FD
Is it really different?

No it shouldn't be. But they could just be refusing to repair it for odd reasons. I've heard lots of bad stories about Samsung's partners in the UK and that people often have to email Samsung directly who will then contact the local partner to shut up and do their job.
