Does a stock S3 have emoji?

I just got my S5 a month ago and see that I have full emoji. Right now my wife in out of town and I was going to send her one of those fancy emoji pictures to make her smile but she has an S3. I'm not sure if she has emoji support with her stock messaging. She is with verizon, uses the stock messaging app and has the most recent software verizon has pushed to the phone.

Of course I realize that third party messaging apps support emoji, but I want to surprise her, not make her install and set up some third party app to ruin the surprise.

Sorry, I think your wife will have to wait for KitKat to be pushed to her S3 before she can utilize emojis in the stock Messaging app.
