Does Android Go allow side-loading of apps?

Can anyone confirm whether or not the "Go" variant of Android allows side-loading of .apk files. If so, are there any magic keystrokes that have to be used to enable the operation?
[I have a home-written app that loads fine on regular Android and, before buying a Lenova M7 tablet with Android 11 Go, I just want to check that there won't be any problems.]

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Introductions forum to the General Help forum, since you're actually asking a question.

I don't have any Android Go devices to test, but this discussion here says it's possible: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...regular-android-apps-on-an-android-go.258189/ What might be more of an issue is the app itself and whether it's compatible with Android Go.
