Does any one feel like we’ve been shafted in the U.K?

Don't worry Exynos people, next year you guys getting a very good chip .

The key part of that piece is part of the title that says "Samsung is reportedly" ;)

Samsung need to instill confidence back into the phone's they are releasing in the UK / Europe that has the Exynos chipset.

Even owners who are not into the geeky parts of phone's benchmarks etc are picking up on the poor performance of the Exynos 990 chipset from the s20 ultra debacle.

Here's hoping for a positive change !

I believe they will be next model , gut feeling but I'm not going like it just so you know :)

Well leakers are also saying that exynos 1000 will be a powerhouse what they don’t know is when everybody will get it. Maybe not for a year or two...SD875 will still be damn fast next year but exynos could be on another level.

S21 will be worth it for this alone

The only hiccup I'd be worried about is Region Lock !

I had a lengthy chat with Samsung UK about importing and they were very sympathetic about the Snapdragon/Exynos issue but warned against getting imported Snapdragon varients due to region lock and warranty issues. I know they are covering their @$$es but for £1300 it's a minefield out there.

If there wasn't these steps to overcome I'd import one myself. As I've said before it would be beneficial if Samsung Uk allowed the ordering of the Snapdragon variant on their Uk Online Store site but I can't see that happening.

I've had a play with the Samsung Note20 Ultra in my local Uk Samsung Experience Store today, albeit a working demo model and it looks awesome from my limited time with it and the camera bump actually helps it to be held by placing your finger up to it, as some others have said.

However until it's been put through it's paces with a full retail model I'm still not pulling the trigger on the Exynos version.

Yeah this is exactly what I put to them, I want an imported Note 20 ultra from Samsung.com.

I'm not a big gamer on phones, in fact I think I have just solitaire installed, any mobile games like COD, PUBG or racing games or similar I have on my Gaming PC which cost me a small fortune to build but thats what its for. I'm just interested in normal day to day battery life with some productivity thrown in and if it equals or betters my Note 10+ then I'll be pleased.

I did say that if I'm not happy with the phone can I get refunded and the operative said there is a 28 day cooling off period for returns as long as everything is not damaged and bonus gifts are returned, they actually said hang on to my Note 10+ for a while to make sure the new phone was satisfactory lol.

They wouldn’t anyway but with exynos 1000 coming in like 5 months they know people will be very happy with that processor.

They just want you to buy from them though so they will say anything. Don’t know anybody who has had issues who have imported.

If you buy from the UK Samsung Online Store then Yes it's returnable under the cooling off period.

If from a Uk Samsung Experience Highstreet Store then it's only returnable if proved to be faulty.

The thing is we know that some the Samsung S20 Ultras had issues with the Exynos 990 chipset even when not being intensively pushed such as gaming and had overheating issues and battery optimisation handled poorly.

I appreciate not everyone had these issues.

Samsung should have delayed launch if the new Exynos chipset wasn't ready or just bit the bullet and fitted the Snapdragon and to heck with the red-tape with Qualcomm etc.

I'm not really wanting to pre order one and recieve it and then immediately start thinking will it fail / have issue's instead of just enjoying the phone and then have in the back of my mind the cooling off period which can flame buyers remorse and then the arranging of the collection of the phone and awaiting a refund.

Yes. I think we are getting royally shafted. I am naturally tempted to get it as I love the note series but come on... no snapdragon 865+ while everyone else is getting it?

Right now I'm leaning heavily towards getting a note 10 plus (I have a note 9) on a cheap deal (£35 per month) and getting the Tab S7+...... which has the snapdragon 865+!!!!!🤦🏾*♂️

Supposedly next years exynos will be up to par with the snapdragons of next year and then I'll just upgrade then...

I've done it. Decided to stay with my note 9 for now (maybe a cheap deal will come for note 10 plus towards the Christmas period) and I pre-ordered a tab s7 plus.

I am not too disappointed actually now that I think of it because I'm hyped for the tab s7 plus and i can now use my note 9 as a PHONE (the original purpose.... take phone calls😅😅😅) and chill on the tab and game and do work.

Those who decided to get the exynos note... I'll definitely be following up on ur experiences.
