Does anyone actually use bixby?

Ok that's it! Bixby is going! Trying to show photos to friends in the pub and everytime anyone took the phone - up popped bixby! So annoying. Obviously they were pressing that damn button. What was the name of that re map app please someone!

I would think about just disabling Bixby. If you remap the button, the same thing will happen to whatever function you remap the button to.

Yes that's true! I've been into settings and disabled everything possible. But it still pops up when you press that button. Samsung have to address that surely!

That's a big nope for me. Disabled on my phone, and my wife's phone - She hate's Bixby more than me. I love the Google Assistant though!
How did you disable bixby? I've disabled everything in settings but it still pops up when the button is pressed

You need a package disabler to completely disable Bixby. I use Package Disabler by Android Police. Install it and in the app, search for Bixby and everything that comes up, you disable. It's that easy. Good luck whatever you do.

I used BxActions immediatley to remap Bixby, but, I just watched this video by Sakitech and I've removed BxActions and re-enabled Bixby voice. I'm going to give it a shot now that I have a little bit better understanding of how it works and what to expect. I'm WAY into the Google ecosystem with Google Assistant and Google Home but Bixby can do some things on my phone that GA can't. We'll see if it's worth the accidental button pushes or if I can learn to steer clear of the Bixby button when I don't need it.

Thanks! worked like a charm - even in Nova launcher

Thanks... watched a few of his videos on the N9 a few weeks ago. Nice refresher.

I'm finding Bixby very frustrating but i think a lot of that is down to learning which voice commands to use. typically i have to ask more than once for it to understand what I'm asking. if i sit and think carefully it works sometimes but the problem for me is I'm a massive fan of the assistant. it just works flawlessly for me. two attempts on Bixby that don't work and i give up and go straight to Google assistant. i shall persevere though, Samsung do a lot of things right so i can't imagine them getting Bixby that wrong. it's me not you!

I guess it is me too. It can recognize my voice when I push the button but it will not wake up for me. That is very aggravating.

I call my son every single day and 3 weeks later bixby still hasn't shown me the frequent contacts card. I don't know how that is even possible. But I have been setting random reminders to see how well it works. I can say that feature does work very well. I have done several location based reminders to see. Other than that, I can't even get bixby to call my son. I ask Google assistant once and it works every single time. Bixby I repeat and repeat and repeat, then once I go to the screen where you change what she heard. I hit enter cause it's correct and bixby calls my kid. At this point I am just hoping they release and update to disable that button.

I used it on my s8/9+ but on the note 9 Bixby seems to be nothing but a ai.

I totally disabled bixby on both watch and phone. I got tired of her saying 'I am currently not able to do that'

finally gave bixby a chance this past week,I'm actually loving "some" things it can accomplish within the samsung "ecosystem"

I used it all the time on the Note 8, but this version of Bixby is just not as useful. I tried to use it for about a week but I just couldn't get it to work the way I needed it to.

Nope, only Google assistant here. We got a smart home setup with several home hubs and home minis here and I just want the phone to be a seemless extension to that.

Haven't used it since the S8. Since then it seems like it's gone downhill

I'm ew to this whole Bixby thing...i tried it for a few weeks, never really used it. it's primarily only good to use for access to things within the phone (or at least from what i see), nothing at all like Siri. MAy be re-mapping the button today...
