Does anyone have a glass screen protector on their V20?

Thanks. Now I have scratches :(
Lol. But seriously
if I don't tilt it at an angle under a light I can't tell that they're there.
There aren't many and they are small.
It feels so much better naked. The phone that is.

The screen protector above feels like the naked phone. And it will cover up those new scratches you found. I'll make a video of it. It's been in for 6 months.

Smittys Glass Wax https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004N1P3G...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6174482

If you do purchase it and try it, report back and let us know how it is. I haven't tried it but heard good things about it.
I bought it and used it on an older device I have (not my V20, which has no scratches, since I've always had a screen protector on the V20). It worked a charm and cleaned and removed the scratches from the screen on the MXPE, which I've had since October 2015 and never used a screen protector on.

Thanks for the recommendation. This glass wax is awesome and very easy to use. ☺️

Did it really remove scratches? Does it resist dirt and oil? I might get it now, thanks for the update!

I believe what it does is fill in the scratches so it hides them as opposed to actually removing them. As long as you can't see them it's pretty good.

In order to actually remove scratches from glass you need a polishing compound and polishing wheel which would remove your Oleophobic coating.

Yeah I thought so. Dirt and oil resistance would be very useful for me though, I'm getting tired of wiping down the glass everytime.

Flyingkytez or anyone who bought a US996 new...
... do you recall factory applied screen protector ? I just purchased a 'like new" one from Amazon Warehouse. It is is only the second one out of 8 phones that was a US 996 and that first one looked like it had an screen issue as it was bluer than all the others.

This was the first one that looks like it was never opened or used. It still *** the thin strips on the sides, the screen protectors on the camera , back and fingerprint reader as well as a clear plastic protector on the man screen that cuts around the camera at right angles not the oval cut outs.

The battery was not even installed or seal broken (date is 2016 on the Battery)

Amazon says they inspected it but all the others came in a plastic bag around the phone and battery installed .

All unboxing videos show the other V20 models had a screen plastic with LG writing and I was trying to determine if it was even opened or not since this screen protector is clear . I would be tempted to keep it on were for there was some abrasions to it where the cardboard strap that held it in had rubbed no doubt in all the transit.

This US996 did not have any other sealson the box but a single unbroken white seal on the side and did not come with head phones as some of the other variations I received did. There is not even a slot in the fold out box for it.

I have received other electronic devices in the past with preinstalled screen protectors so thought maybe this version might have.

Like I said, it was the only version of this phone that did not have a plastic sleeve around the phone which I assume is Amazon's way to protect it in transit.

Bummer, I bought from this link and they have a cut out for the LG logo where as the video posted appeared it was jsut not painted around the log. Who would have cared that the logo was even visible? I never understood the vane reasoning in showing off a brand name. Heck, I paid them for the phone, I am not getting ad revenue to advertise their phones for them. I would have rather not had the LG cut out. Just another thing to have to line up.

I agree with the comment about using a light to see what scratched appear with little effort. This was very disappointing, Amazon Warehouse sent me 8 phones over the last month advertised as "Like New" which they define as no damage to the product , only the packaging.

And yes, even off , in allot of different light the phones looked clean (most of them anyway some did have visible scratches) But in the right overlead light there were some significant , light scratching. I was always told the integrity of the glass is weakened with each scratch. If anything they should be selling them as "Used-Very Good" not "Used- LIke New"

This phone is still a top featured phone with some added longer term benefits like changing the battery . I still see this processor faster than allot of phones at the same price. I am not blown away by the camera or video and as stated, disappointed the glass is so easy to scratch for something called Gorilla and in its 4th gen in 2016. I have not had a screen break as do my best to protect my phone but do have more chance of fine grit in pocket or brushing up against keys or coins so think, if you are not one to change a phone yearly, it is wise to protect at least the glass.
