Does anyone really care about how much a phone weighs?

When I first picked up the one I did notice the weight difference in comparison to my nexus 4. However I do not notice it now and I have a otterbox commuter on it so that adds to the weight but all around no longer noticeable.

I like a phone that feels solid in my hand. Not necessarily heavy, but solid. This was my major issue with the Samsung devices.

I'm thinking about the HTC One Max formally announced today with those bigger speakers with even more separation! However, the size and weight are saying, Whoa!

I'm wondering if they're going to make a One Max in black. I just don't care for the way that white frame looks encircling the phone, but in black it may look acceptable.
