Does anyone think Cyangenmod is coming?

..an will it be better than other ROMS? It may be waiting for ICS, which appears to now be delayed until end of 2012.

if that's the case I doubt we get it for this device, but maybe.

I think scrosler will probably have a ROM based on the OFFICIAL ICS, but his GB 1.5.5 which I'm using is running grand, so I may not change anyway.

Does Cyangenmod matter, at least on this device?

There is already an alpha build on XDA. Not sure what works and what doesn't.

Its probably going to be a while before we see a real solid build since they're starting from the ground up with build and everything is new.

Does it matter? Only to people who like cyanogen I guess

Yes, it is coming. Any ROM however is really a matter of personal preference, so answering whether or not it matters isn't really possible. Scrosler already has 2 ICS roms based on leaks, once there is an official release those ROMs will most likely be updated with whatever bug fixes he hasn't already worked out.

Last time I looked at it, not much at all was working on the alpha build. Essentially the phone would turn on. It's a start though.

It boots...that's about it at this point. Problem is that without the hardware binary from HTC that port is basically dead in the water unless someone knows how to work around it. At any rate with the multitude of quality ROMs and new developers coming over to the Rezound, Cyanogenmod will be nice. And hopefully bring even move devs to the party.

Yes, because Scott's ROMs seem to be just as good, but the additional "horsepower" of the developer base is really the only thing Cyangenmod will give us, I think. As good as i think Scott is, a large developer community should be able to offer us more, and extend the life for improvements on the Rezound.

And really, this is the best way to go. Until then, I don't care. Until the hardware is fully compatible, it isn't worth anyone's time.
