Does changing the screen mode on the S7 do anything for battery life?

I'm finding the battery on the S7 pretty good but I was curious if anyone knew if switching from the Adaptive Display to say the Basic improves the battery life in anyway?

Yes it does. I switched my screen to a dark black back ground and my battery life lasts longer. Less graphics more battery. Watch it on YouTube and also their is an app you can download for back ground screens
