All are plastic especially the back button and all silver color at the edge of the body and screen. So does all of these wear off? How strong is the body?

Look at the past forum posts. Do you see any complaints about silver color wearing off? I never have. How strong is the body? Again see past posts. If you drop the phone on a hard surface it might break. I hope this helps.

I've had my G3 since July. I have never used a case or anything on it. Completely nude. I handle my phone daily and often.

None of the color has faded or worn off anywhere on it (I have the silk white G3). The buttons on the back are not painted silver, they are pure metal. But I cannot speak for the black G3 as the button is surely painted black and may wear. The silver trim on the outside looks as it did when I first got it.

The body seems pretty strong although cracks from a manufacturing defect are apparent on the top by the little hole and the microphone hole at the bottom. If that matters to you at all. It's purely cosmetic, though.

The back button is not metal, it is just plastic with silver print. I have read from other forum that their back button print would wear off. It definitely doesn't feel like metal and feel like plastic anyway.

I did not know that. Must be metallic based paint since it's always so cold if the phone has been off.

Well I know at least there is one big problem, just google "g3 crack" and see the pictures.

That is the crack near headphone jack in early models. From what I understand that was a manufacturing problem that has since been corrected. And LG replaced defective devices. IMO not a big problem. But to those (few or many) that had the crack may have had a different opinion.

The new Samsungs are all metal. You might look at those too. The G3 isn't the latest phone anymore.
