Does Gear S2 vibrate when receive a text?

Just got my Galaxy Gear S2 today. I'm all set up. I expected the device to vibrate when I received a text but it does not. Is this how it work, or did I miss something when I set it up? It does vibrate when I receive a call.

Gear app, notifications, manage notifications, make sure your messaging app is selected. I assume you have vibrate notify enabled in your messaging app. If you use Hangouts, see the S2 apps thread. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, my messaging app is selected, and vibrate notify is enabled in my messaging app (on my Galaxy Note 5). I don't use Hangouts. The watch vibrates for incoming calls, but not for texts. I can't figure it out....

Thanks for responding. I assumed that it should, but so far I haven't been able to get it to. It only vibrates for incoming calls.

Have you tried resetting your S2? The Light Reset option might work, but I'd do the Factory Reset.
