Does having to SBF your X scare you?

Does having to SBF your Droid X scare you? It shouldn't. Well, at least not now. Check this story over at Droid Life -> App of the Day: SBFportable - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog Somebody posted it on Twitter earlier today. Sorry, don't remember who.

The app (actually a program for your PC) claims to make SBFing your X foolishly simple. I haven't tried it, because I don't feel like wiping everything from my phone just to test it, but it sounds promising.

No Go For Me.... I downloaded and all settings as instructed but when I ran app it didnt do anything, I allowed it to run for 5 minutes after clicking and the only thing I got was a message in middle of screen saying to not connect phone until Linux partition is created...

If it takes more than five minutes just to create partition, I will stay with RSD Lite.

I tried several times several ways with no luck at all..... Oh Well, thanks but in the time the app starts I could have completed flash the original way.

Somewhere an .exe of RSDLite is crying "Im not that difficult just moody" . I SBF'd so much I turned it into a joke to get over my frustrations with it. How many times did I say I SBF'd myself again in these threads,lol

No, I did it like 7 times this week alone cause various roms and such bricked it.

Not to say the first time it happened I wasn't dropping bricks but you tend to get over it.

Now if it's for an update, kinda up to you really.

I can confirm, everything's easier under Linux

I've never had an issue with sbf_flash, I'll even pay for a Ubuntu license for anyone who wants to dual boot Linux to try it out. Heck, I'll even throw in a VirtualBox license if you want to do it from a Virtual Machine instead!
