Does "Location" now automatically include GPS ?

On my previous Android, I used to have to manually activate GPS separately from WiFi when using MAPS ... I don't see such a setting anymore. That implies to me that GPS is now automatically turned on when Location Services is on & I bring up Google Maps for navigation.. Is that true?

Yes, if you toggle your Location on it will default to High Accuracy(GPS,Wifi, Mobile).
