does note 8 have air wake up

My note 4 has air wake up where you just wave your hand over the screen and it turns the screen on. Does the note 8 have a feature like this?

Thank you. I am considering upgrading to a note 8, as I have a lg g6 sitting in a box at home that I got super cheap that I might use for the 50%trade in bill credit deal on verizon. I went to a verizon store today and they did not have a display note 8 so i was not able to check for myself if that feature was included as it is a feature I use a lot.

For what it's worth my wife and I had a G6 and V20 respectively, and we both switched to the Note 8 and have been extremely happy with the decision.

I am not a fan of AOD. I like the notification lights better. That is the one thing I wish the g6 had was a notification light as I love the knock on/off feature.

I didn't think I'd like it when I had the Note 7, but I missed it when it was gone... That said I don't use it all the time, so I use the "easy screen turn on" when it's off. It's nice to have options.

I have this turned on, aod off and my screen still wont wake up when I lift up the phone. What am I still missing to get this to work? I'm trying to lift up my phone, have the screen turn on, look at the phone and have the iris thingie know its me and unlock my phone. Is this possible?

Simply wave your hand on top of the the front camera area. Your phone will wake up without even touching the screen or physical buttons. But to unlock u have to press the power button the IRIS will scan for your face if you have turned on the option under IRIS SCANNER "Iris unlock when screen turns on"

It would be nice to have this feature to turn off alarm (upon wakeup) - just wave your hand over phone to shut off alarm (rather than pressing the screen little x target to dismiss while not fully coordinated awake)
