Nova Launcher makes the experience on this phone quite fun, but does that launcher drain the battery quicker? Anyone have any experience with nova?

I am running it and doesn't seem to drain the battery much worse than the stock launcher. It does use battery, right now it is using 17%. Give it try, to me it is worth it.

No it does not drain the battery any more than any other launcher including the stock launcher, especially if you are not using the stock launcher with Blink Feed. I have used Nova for a long time, and love using it on my M8.

The only launcher I've used that drains battery faster is Themer. I still use and like it but it does effect battery life. As far as Nova you should be just fine

This is also my experience as well. Nova Launcher is great on battery, I've been using it as my primary launcher for months now and battery drainage is normal.

Another vote for Nova. Tried many others but always come back to Nova. Battery life has always been a non issue.

I really like the launcher, especially with the slide up app animation!

Have been using Nova for quite a few years now and thought it would be nice on the m8. The issue of battery drain is negotiable, and if you miss Blinkfeed you set it on your homepage via settings

I was a big fan of Nova launcher, but I wanted to try out blinkfeed, so I started using the stock sense launcher, my battery life improved greatly over the Nova launcher......

So your battery is better on Blinkfeed...
Why does Nova Launcher drain battery? :/ that's sad.

My Nova Launcher Prime has been eating up my battery lately. Going to try reinstalling, not sure what's up.

I noticed my battery life isn't great either.. I thought it was something else

I used the Sense launcher in April and May, then I switched to Nova Prime in June. I haven't noticed any difference in battery, and I even have it set to always listen for the "Ok Google" hotword.

The one thing I really miss when using Nova, however, is the HTC Weather Clock widget.
