I have a brother who keeps restoring my galaxy s8+, don't know why hes doing that, he likes to **** me off so I gotta reinstall everything etc...he have done it several times today..(like 10times maybe today :o ) and like everyday since I got the phone. hes probally jelly lol

does this damage the phone/battery somehow?

just got the phone so I dont want something bad happens...

In my honest uneducated opinion, I wouldn't think so- but maybe you wanna consider putting a lock on it (password, FP, pattern...) Or adopting your brother out :-P

Nah, does nothing to it. What may damage the battery however is exposing it to extreme heat or letting it drop to 0%. Yeah, put a password on it! Fingerprint or Iris scanner.

A password is a good idea to have regardless. Although as long as you leave it accessible to him, he can just put the wrong password in enough times to wipe it. You have a few choices, don't leave it unattended for him to abuse it or teach him something called respecting others property. Good luck

Go to settings>lockscreen>secure lock settings>auto factory reset>turn off

This is so that the phone will not reset even after putting multiple wrong entries

Honestly I'm just thinking of beating the crap out of him. Lol.
