Does running apps on memory card drain more battery?

Does running apps(specifically games) on memory card drain more battery?

No significant difference.

I suspect that apps run in INTERNAL memory or using the cpu and that where they are initially stored does not make much difference, other than the quick reading of the code into memory. Maybe if overlay modules or such are continually loading, there might be some small differences.
