does Sprint One work in korea?

My buddy's overseas stationed in south Korea and he really wants the One. If he gets the Sprint One, will it work on SK Telecom? Or is it locked? Both carriers are cdma. Not sure on exact frequencies.

Well i know it's locked so if he talks with the Sprint International Team they can work with him to unlock it for International Carriers only.

Right, but won't he be locked into the whole "must be active on your account for 90 days" garbage? I know there are a few exceptions, but they seem few & far between.
