Does the call history get transferred from your old phone to your new phone?

This is a security question. I got my S8 mid July and am very bewildered to see call history records on my S8 for 7 months prior to me getting this phone.???? Wat the f?

If you use Samsung's Smart Switch, you can select to import your phones call logs, and all will be transferred. I just did this between a J2 Core and my Note 20, and the logs transferred completely. You can also import your text messages, as well. Smart Switch can be downloaded from the Samsung Store or Play Store, and can be used in a wired or wireless transfer. You can also restore from the Samsung Cloud backups, as my devices back up daily so that I don't lose things.

Agree with whats mentioned above , doesn't look like security issue , just basic cloud back up possible you transfer data .
