Does the DAC play thru anything?

Don't see why these can't play nice with your phone, they look clean!

I figured that they would. The green accents on black are different. Some love it and some hate it.....LOL! I am just looking for the best bang for my buck here. Thanks for your post :D

Just an FYI, did a head to head comparison between my old lg3/FiiO DAC setup and the DAC on the LGv20.

Using my old AudioTecnica M50

And after tweaking the sound with the my favorite Equalizer https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...com.smartandroidapps.equalizer&token=xS9_jlgX

Found the Lgv20 to be SUPERIOR. Way better separation and sound.

How do you like the M50? Doe they activate on high impedance? I'm thinking of getting the new version

No they don't activate on high impedance which is a shame, I did manage to get a taste of high impedance sound with these just messing with the phone settings but only for a few seconds. (an accident really) and those few seconds sounded AMAZING. With the Equalizer app I can push the levels up with the sound amplifier. Though as mentioned in this thread already, there's a easy high impedance hack that you can not do with headphones like the M50 but you could with the M50x. Reason being thAt the 50x cables are detachable, the original M50 are not. The easy hack as explained here in this thread, is to plug in the cable to the lgv20, then plug them into your headphones, and that somehow puts the lgv20 into high impedance mode. That's what I understood, someone please chime in if I'm wrong.

Got a set of Audeze LCD-3s for 35% off over Black Friday. Their impedance is 110 ohm and they activate the high impedance mode on the V20.

I haven't had a ton of time to do a lot of testing, but so far I've been blown away by what I've heard when the LCD-3s are hooked up to the V20. Really cool that the V20 can drive them so well.

I have so used my Oppo PM-3s and Shure SE846s with the V20. Both sound great too but the LCD-3s are the best. Haven't tried my Grado GS1000e's yet.

Finally, I'd second the earlier comment about the V20 working well with the aux input on a Porsche Burmester system. My wife has the Burmester setup I'm her Cayenne. I've found the system very sensitive to the source. I've also found the DAC the Porsche Bluetooth system uses is pretty bad. But the V20 using the 3.5mm jack sounds phenomenal on the system when playing high quality files.

I absolutely love this phone...

I'm so jelly! How do you like the LCD-3s so far? I can tell you my GS2000e's sound quite nice out of the V20.

Honestly, I'm pretty blown away by the LCD-3s. So glad I got a deal on them. I was also looking hard at the LCD-Xs, which are lower impedance, but when the LCD-3 deal popped I couldn't pass it up.

I like a lot of different music so need to put them through a lot more listening, but some electronica that I listened to last night was outstanding. They are definitely heavy, much more so than my Grado's, but do feel comfortable on my head and ears. My Oppo PM-3s make my ears a bit sore on long sessions, but these have become my go to travel set.

Yes.... The hack works but I forget it if it goes into high impedance or external mode which is a mid range impedance

Just got the B&O (LG sponsored) free headphones, they crank loud! Wondering if there's a break in period? (First impressions...got bass?)
