Strange question I know but just wondering, how come pressing the button on the side of it serves a function if it doesn't have any power? Just intrigued to know. Can't find anything on the Web about it. Thanks.

There another thread that tells how the s pen works. It's pretty interesting too

girls love tech too

the pen Itself has a small curcit board that interacts with coils underneath the screen .These coils create a sort of electro Magnetic feild that recognize and power the circut board within the pen. Although this is a very Summarized explanation, I hope it gives you a general understanding.

Same basic idea as how RFID tags work. There are lots of ways to do this (your finger has no batteries in it either, right? :) )
