Does the U11 have LTE band 17? Yes / No

I looked on several websites, GSM arena, phone scoop, etc... All say in the specs section that LTE band 17 is included but it's not listed on the HTC website under the specs. I just assumed it was. I'm on AT&T in the US and I noticed using the LTE Discovery app that my other phones are using band 17 quite frequently. My U11 is scheduled to be delivered Tuesday, I guess I'll find out then.

The phone does have Band 17 support. I'm curious as to why it doesn't show it under any carrier here.

Thank you, yes I thought it was strange that the only website I looked at the specs for the LTE bands that didn't list band 17 was the HTC website ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Unless you can get someone to actually screenshot LTE Discovery showing an HTC U11 on band 17, I'd probably trust the actual HTC website than a 3rd party review.

Yeah, you're probably correct, so HTC tries to come back with a unlocked flagship phone to compete with LG, Samsung, and even their Google Pixel built by them but makes the phone half a** compatible with the top 2 US carries (Verizon & AT&T).

It has it. I was in Lake Geneva, WI with AT&T and the U11 and it picked up Band 17 about 8 different times.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping band 17 was present because on my other unlocked phones that have it, it seems to lock onto 17 the most. On my AT&T branded V20 it stays mostly on bands 17 and 30

Unfortunately no Band 30, which majorly sucks.

Where I live I kind of look for unlocked phones that Do Not support band 30 on AT&T, for some reason band 30 where I live is horrible, always has a poor signal strength, like -119. I usually have to put my AT&T version LG V20 into airplane mode and back to get off band 30. I understand that it's probably just the area I'm in but AT&T has not implemented band 30 here very well at all.

Well I received my U11 today set everything up, did the available updates cleared cache then shut off the phone inserted my AT&T Sim card from my AT&T branded V20, the U11 automatically recognized the AT&T Sim and set up the Nxtgen APN. The phone is working, phone calls, text messages data, the problem I see is, it shows the LTE symbol on the notification bar, it says LTE connected in the About phone tab, but my download speeds are terrible, averageing 5.3mb downloads. Haven't a clue why.

OK, I found my answer to AT&T band 17 on the U11, it's there, but not listed on the HTC website. So far today my cell signal has been great, LTE download speeds not so great. May have to try a different APN then the one that the phone loaded after it asked which carrier your using.

Band 17 on AT&T for me as well.

What ever was the problem with my slow LTE/data speeds fixed itself, I didn't have to change my APN, it just started working normal, for my area anyway, back to the speeds I was seeing on my AT&T V20. Pretty happy with this phone so far. I am getting all LTE bands that I was getting on my V20 other than band 30, which I knew the U11 didn't have. Band 30 where I live is terrible anyway.
