Does the V10 screen scratch easily?

Unfortunately everything will scratch (regarding smartphone screens). Granted the the new glass is much harder to scratch but it will scratch.
I had the S6 Edge Plus and there were no good glass protectors because of the curved screen. I eventually went with the plastic protector but had to replace it frequently because the edges would pop up. Finally got tired of messing with it and went naked.....got 2 scratches in less than a week. I have no idea how, why or when but it scratched. Thank goodness the V10 has a flat screen, I put a PThink total coverage (no cut out or notch for the front camera lens) glass protector on.

There are curved protectors available now.

I decided to refrain from using my screen protector and I've come across a pair of small hairline scratches on my screen. Fortunately I was able to take a really close look and noticed that the scratch looked more like a scuff on the glass which may indicate what's left of the oleophobic layer has scratched, not the actual glass.

Either way, I'm not too bothered with microscratches at this point as most are easily covered with an oleophobic spray kit or a tempered glass protector if they get to a point where there's too much. What bothers me is the stainless steel being durable but the finish being easy to scuff depending on material and thus it's cased up again after 4 weeks with no case

I've had mine since Nov. 2015 but I always use the glass screen saver. Even that has no scratches on it. If I lay my phone face down, always have a fiber rag and lay it on. Still like brand new.

We know you should never put eye glasses - glass side down on any surface and the same with phone displays. A benefit of the case is that it provides a raised edge around the screen. I assume you have a case BB? The way those microscratches happen is a bit of grit gets in the front pocket, and is held stationary by the fabric of the pocket. When the phone is placed in the pocket - micro scratch! I found this out the hard way. Had a pair of stone washed jeans, some grit left in the pockets scratched my G3 screen - very light scratches but still there. After adding a glass protector never noticed them.

Probably all of the above Tarsus... LOL
I am usually very careful and try to avoid the obvious culprits. Good advice nevertheless, thanks man.

This is all good advice - and just to expand on the above:
Don't clean the phone with anything but microfiber cloth, and wipe away dust / grit particles with a moist cloth and only then wipe it off. Don't clean it when it's dry. Same for glasses or any other optic, don't clean it dry -- it always has grit on it that will rub in and leave tons of micro-scratches.

I got my V10 used and it already came with tempered glass screen protector that holds up really well.
