Does the ZOE feature work with flash?

In every video I've seen, they've had flash turned off. I'm curious as to when the flash would illuminate - Is it when you press the shutter button? Is there a count down to it? How will ZOE look with the flash? You'll have stills in the dark and one capture full of light? I know the phone isn't out yet but maybe someone out there knows the answer. Thanks.
