Can anyone tell me if there is a device that's wireless and has an earphone jack in it so I can plug my computer speakers into it instead of having to plug them into my Nexus? It's kind of hard trying to navigate around that cord hanging out the bottom.

If not, are there any wireless speaker systems one would recommend that use Bluetooth or WiFi?

Just walk into Best Buy or Apple Store or for that matter just do a simple search in chrome on wireless speakers...or YouTube....there are about 10 good choices unless I have completely misunderstood.

Right, but then I'll have two sets of speakers no my desk. I already have my PC speakers. But that may be my only option at this point.

Here's my first find after googling "wireless speaker adapter"

Amazon.com: Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter for Bluetooth Audio Devices (980-000540): Electronics

Looks like for around $40 it'll do what you want.

Had this myself for a while now. It does the job just fine. Can connect to speakers or sound systems via headphone jacks or red/white audio cables. It's a little on the big and cumbersome side, and I'd be happier if it could be powered over USB, but it turns any hi-fi into a wireless sound station.

Bump to ask: Nice, but any other similar devices, tried by forumites...?

I seem to collect the big olde quality speakers (and vintage amps) people discard these days...!

I recall that blackberry makes a nice bluetooth device. It works fine with Android products. Android Central did a review of the device and they really liked it.

I will say that since I posted that link, I bought one of those adapters for myself, and it works great. I have it hooked up to some computer speakers in my living room, and after the very easy initial linking, if I want to listen to music, I just pull down the upper right menu, click on the adapter in the list, and I can hear the speakers come out of their sleep mode almost instantly, as the adapter picks up signal. Playback works great, I've had no problems.

Best Buy carries a Rocketfish "Bluetooth receiver", no idea about quality or performance.

OTHER: is it possible to have the N 7 stream some audio (from Pandora or other), and at the same time "wifi" the audio out to wifi-equipped devices..?
