You do not need nfc on to use Samsung pay,, the other 2 you do.

Because its advantage is that while it will work with Near Field Communication (NFC), it primarily uses Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST), which simulates a card swipe and transmits the data contained in the magnetic strip on your card.

Apple and Android pay rely on NFC only.

I leave my nfc off too. I exclusively use mst.
