I've been with Verizon for years but it seems every so often my Samsung Galaxy 6 phone ask me if I want to buy some type of Verizon software BS again. I thought I saw on the news somewhere that Version was increasing these types of sales ads more and more with newer phones they sale. Can anybody confirm or deny this info ?

My S7 only has 4 Verizon apps on it I can't delete, I don't consider any of them bloat, they're more useful than half of what Google throws on the phone.

Verizon Cloud
Message Plus
My Verizon
Voicemail

I could disable them, but it would make my phone experience worse IMO.

Far less bloat than phones from the past.

Got a S8+
I've disabled Bixby. The phone does a update and it reinstalls itself and is working again.

Don't know if this is a Samsung problem or a Verizon.

I left apple because I didn't like the platform and Siri.

Been hating Samsung Pay cause its something I will not use.

And the Bixby button you can't get rid of.

I use google a lot.
But don't know which phone to get that don't have some kind of problem.

Don't guess we own what we buy. The phone mfg. carrier and government does.

Whats the difference in buying a pixel threw verizon vers buying one threw google.

The primary one is that the bootloader on the Verizon one is locked and can't be unlocked. This means that customization is limited, if that's something you might want to do.

Thanks.

Please help me.
What kind of customization are you talking about.
I want bixby off and Samsung Pay.
Dont want to loose camera clarity.
I take a lot of pictures.
Now I'm seeing after so much storage, google wants you to pay a monthy storage payment.
And pixel don't have a SD card place.

Man Please !
Who owns these phones, mfg, carrier, or the buyer.

After reading all the problems with the Pixels on the forum. I'm totally tripped out on what to do.

Guess I'm gonna have to wait on the Pixel 3 and try to decide on the Verizon model which I can get help with.
Or see what is involved with The unlocked Google verizon mode.

Keep in mind that users are more likely to post complaints/issues about products than they are to post praise reports. Most users who come to Android Central are looking for solutions to their problems with their phones; so it wouldn't be unusual to see a skewed sample of more "dissatisfied users/products with issues" versus "satisfied users/working products."

You'll also find that there is a core group of users here who are phone enthusiasts and who will be posting praise reports about their Pixels, S9's, etc. You'll get a mixed batch of users here, which makes discussions and posting so much fun!

Keep us posted on what you decide!
