I use to have an iphone and it was paired to my car stereo with bluetooth. When I started the vehicle, after three or four seconds, the music on my phone would start playing through my car stereo. I wouldnt have to open the music player on the iphone or even turn it on. It would just automatically start.

Then I switched vehicles and got a samsung s4. I installed a bluetooth adapter and it works alright, but the music doesnt automatically play. I have to start the car. Wait a few seconds for it to connect, and then get my phone out of my pocket, pull up the music player and select my music or hit play.

I am wondering if this is a samsung thing or a cheap bluetooth adapter thing.

If you listen to a2dp streaming through your car device, is it possible to get your music to play automatically without you having to do anything? The best world for me would be if it would start playing from the song it left off at the last time it was playing.

I use an App called PowerAmp. It has options to start on Bluetooth Connect or Headphone Connect. This can be turned off if you use other Bluetooth devices with your phone or tablet! It has a trial period then you have to purchase an unlock app. It works great for me!
