heres a tip that helps. hold down and highlight what you want to look up with long press.... such as tracking number, word, etc.... then use the google screen finder

This won't work if you're inside an app. But, I think I figured out the culprit. Adguard is definitely the app that's causing my frustration. I don't know much about VPNs, but whenever the assistant has to use the internet to search screen info, I get the ”offline” notification and it says Google can not be reached. I disabled and re enabled Adguard and it sort of fixed my problem. What I subsequently had to do was put my phone in and out of airplane mode to get the assistant to pick up screen info. So far, it's working good again.

I was surprised yesterday. My wife sent me a screen capture of an address card from a Google search (on iphone) for a local costume place. I long pressed for assistant and *boom* it pulled up the info so I could (1) call to tell them I was coming and ask them to stay open a bit longer for my return, and (2) map to them. All that and never really left the messenger app.
